Any of you go on Soompi forums?

Some girl just commented on one of my entries out of nowhere, and I knew right away when she commented on my Ulzzang post that she was a Soompi person. A lot of Soompi people are obssessed with the Ulzzangs. Ick. Anyway, it's the only post I have that really touches on any topic that Soompi talks about. Well, I knew from her avatar anyway.

I think the only way she could have found my journal is if she googled REALLY extensively. After all, she said she found my journal because of some soompi forum talking about people who were ignorant about circle lenses. See, I didn't post in any circle lens forums. I don't give a crap about circle lenses.

I care because as of right now, my journals are semi-public. I want to know if I should keep my journal totally private (friends only.)

I don't even have my journal listed as a website on my profile on Soompi. How the hell did this girl find me?

EDIT TO ADD: (cause I forgot)

OKAY! So, I woke up today at around 11 am today instead of the usual 3 pm or so. I still slept at around 4 am yesterday, though. Tomorrow, I'll try waking up at 9 am so that I can go to sleep by midnight. This is tough work.

~*~

Has anyone heard about the two journalists that were being held captive in North Korea? How do you guys feel about it? As for me, I really pray for them and hope that they will be okay, but I understand that it is a very sticky situation. Who knows what they are forcing the poor women to say. They admitted to crossing the border and breaking a law, but who knows they weren't just kidnapped/captured and then forced to say it? I pray for their safe return soon. 12 years of prison labor? That is seriously insane.

Without a scale, I don't even know how well I'm doing on my diet. Unfortunately, because of my ridiculous and insane sleeping habit during the summer, I'm forced to eat maybe less than 1,000 calories per day.

I'm continuing my morning banana diet and exercise to keep my metabolism up. I hope to lose at least 10-15 lbs by the end of summer.

I have no idea how much I've already lost. Michael says he doesn't see a difference, so maybe not much. It has been three weeks.

This music video is so silly but makes me laugh. I love this song, it's been stuck in my head for the whole day.

* Michael demands that I write my Transformers review. So, if I don't have it up by tomorrow, you can safely assume that my body's buried somewhere. >.<

Ah-ha! I got my sleeping schedule back. How did I do this?

I just stayed up throughout the day and waited until it was 10 P.M. to collapse into my bed and sleep until morning. I was so tempted, but Michael threatened me whenever I took a nap with tickling, so that worked. I'm very ticklish.

***

I forgot to mention that I saw the trailer for Avatar. :/ I don't really know what to think of it. I thought it was artistically impressive, but I don't know if I like the casting choices. It caused a lot of controversy in the fandom and I can see why, but even without it, I still think this movie is going to be terrible.

***

I don't ever talk about news or politics in my journal, as to avoid offending anyone, but I have to say... I don't know how I feel about the U.S. troops pulling out of Iraqi cities. I feel like I am of two minds about this. Goodness knows I want our troops out of there, but I'm also worried.

Day four of not sleeping. It's nearly 6 A.M. and I haven't slept yet, once again. I'll probably crash at around 10 A.M. and then sleep until the afternoon. I've been eating only once a day and not much.

THIS IS NOW HOW I WANT TO LOSE WEIGHT, OMG.

UGGGH. Self, why do you INSIST on staying awake?! And if you do, can you please do it at a reasonable hour? D: D: D:

I've been staying up all night and indulging myself in cute, shoujo fluffy manga. [info]the_firefly, I really love 'Faster Than a Kiss'! It's really adorable. It makes my heart beat faster the only way a shoujo series can! XDDDDD ♥

Also been catching up on Penguin Revolution, which wasn't hard since it hasn't been updated by the scanlators for a year now, I think. D: D: Maybe it's been licensed? XD Oh, if only I had my Japanese-English dictionary...

The new Harry Potter movie looks to be potentially worth seeing. I didn't see the last one (and from what I heard, I'm glad I didn't.) Actually, I haven't read OR watched anything past the fourth installment. It's so strange, but for some reason, the magic was really lost for me by the end of the fourth book. I think I'll go see Half-Blood Prince, though.

New Moon? HELL NO. Fuck that noise. I didn't see the first one (though, to my horror, both my sister and my MOTHER tried to get me to see it!) I'm just waiting for them to pop all these D-rated sequels out, so the franchise can slowly die the hell out.

And speaking of movies... I still have to do my Transformers movie review. I need a third viewing, though. LOL! No, but really. >_>;

Also, it is 6 A.M. here and I haven't slept. What is it about summer vacation that totally screws my sleep over?

EDIT TO ADD:

Here is a letter from Lt. Dan Choi, a man that is serving our country:

Hi,

Did you know that the military is still discharging soldiers for being openly gay?

One of these soldiers is California's own Lt. Dan Choi, who is also an Arabic linguist. Lt. Choi is fighting the discharge and fighting the discriminatory "Don't Ask, Don't Tell" policy and needs your help.

Lt. Choi goes on trial on Tuesday. I just signed a letter of support via the Courage Campaign for Lt. Choi, which he will bring with him to his trial. In less than a day since the letter was released, more than 50,000 people have also signed on in support of Lt. Choi.

It's important that Lt. Choi walks into the courtroom holding as many signatures of support as possible for his fight to continue serving his country, no matter who he loves.

Will you join me in signing and urge your friends to do the same before Tuesday's trial?:

http://www.couragecampaign.org/SupportDan

Thanks!

I hope all of you sign it. :) ♥

My soaps are finally here! I bought a pure olive oil, castile soap and a shampoo bar from Earthnaturals (Earthsoap.com) It's a company owned by women, and they only make natural, handmade soaps. I only bought one of each, but they gave me TWO extras. Each soap is only like $3, so that was so lovely of them. It more than made up for the price of shipping ($5).

I can't wait to try their Rose Geranium soap.

It looks like my switch to all-natural products has been a good one. There has been some trial and error here and there, but I finally found products that I can stick to. I feel a little obssessed, lol. I spent hours just researching the different toxic ingredients on labels and finding out which products are best. *_* Not only that, but I had to find products that WORK. Oi vey.

If anyone wants recommendations for natural toothpastes, shampoos, soaps, etc., then let me know!

I watched The Exorcism of Emily Rose last night and it freaked me out a little bit. The Exorcist didn't scare me, but Emily Rose did. I think it's because it's based on a true story, and I stupidly clicked on a link that had the real audio of the real girl during her real exorcism. *____* I won't be going to the bathroom alone for a long, long time.

All I have to say is: OMFG. AAAAAMAZING. HAHAHA BAYSPLOSIONS. BOOM! OMG ROBOTS. OMG OPTIMUS PRIME OWNING. OMG BUMBLEBEE. HOLY SHIT WHAT THE HELL?!

There you go. No review until my mind logically organizes the movie for me. It doesn't seem to be happening anytime soon, so I think a second viewing is necessary. Heh.

That said, I was telling Michael how I think that critics have this inside joke between them to give ANY Michael Bay movie a low score regardless of what it really deserves on Rottentomatoes. Am I the only one thinks that his movies are good? It's not an amazing plot, but it's a simple plot you can follow and be entertained while you have BAYSPLOSIONS! Pan's Labyrinth it is not. But good summer fun it is.

Holy crap! Michael sold his microscope for $1000! He bought it for only $100 (and not even that since they fucked up the purchase and ended up not charging his account.) W-wow. That's amazing.

Going to Wholefoods today to buy some Kiss My Face lip balms and Natural Dentist toothpaste and mouthwash. :D I'm trying to use products that are all natural, cruelty-free, SLS-free, and hopefully mostly organic or all organic. All those commercial products dry out and irritate my skin even more so.

There was this girl on one of my forums that was telling everyone to try using soap and water for everything (even brushing your teeth), and that freaked me out that someone could garner so much attention for such bad advice. People that jumped into it had their hair falling out, had dry and flakey skin afterwards, etc. She was recomending a natural soap (ideally, with fewer than five ingredients or just a simple castile soap), but she doesn't realize that we need other ingredients to fight teeth decay, to control oil if you have oil-prone skin, acne, etc.

So, I kinda developed my own regime for myself that has worked really nicely so far, and should for everyone else. You just have to find the right natural products for you.

Products I used then and now:

1. Shampoo/Conditioner THEN - RedKen (
2. Shampoo/Conditioner NOW - Earth Naturals Shampoo Bar

3. Body THEN - Bath & Body Works bodywashes
4. Body NOW - Earth Naturals pure olive oil soap bar (with added lavender essential oil)

5. Face THEN - Boscia Clear Complexion cleanser (I really love this brand. No preservatives, paraben-free, Sulfate-free, and it doesn't test on animals. They use all natural ingredients, but it treats acne so well. I never have acne anymore.)
6. Face NOW - Boscia Clear complexion cleanser still.

7. Face moisturizer THEN - Boscia SPF 15 (I only use moisturizer for my face, but not for my body. I use sunscreen for my body from Kiss My Face when I have to, like if I'm wearing shoulder/back bearing things or going to the beach.)
8. Face moisturizer NOW - Boscia SPF 30

9. Exfoliating scrub THEN - Boscia smoothing facial polish (this is also really good, but L'occitane had a 50% off deal, so now I'm trying out their olive scrub product, which is also natural and sulfate free.)
10. NOW - L'occitane Olive Scrub Mud (once a week, just to exfoliate my skin.)

11. I use an Italy towel now. It's different from other towels because of it's rougher surface, and it's supposed to exfoliate your skin much better than a normal towel. You can buy some at your local Asian supermarket for $1.99 for a pack of them

12. AND OF COURSE, MY OBSESSION! Lip Balm! I have a variety just for fun. I have Burt's Bees SPF 8 with passionfruit, Korres lip butter in pomegranate (gives a really nice color too), Kiss My Face, and Boscia lip balm (my favorite of them all, but most expensive.)

XD I'm kinda obsessed with skincare/haircare. I guess it makes up for the lack of makeup. I had a recent phase where I was trying out makeup, but found that I didn't like to wear anything, so forget it. The only thing I'll keep on my face is lip balm. So I only use Boscia and Earth Naturals the most. The other products (like Kiss My Face, Korres, L'occitane, and Burt's Bees) are also all natural and really good for you.

As for toothpaste, I use Natural Dentist health gums and teeth in peppermint. I might buy the fluoride-free one, but I'm not one to believe that fluoride is bad (unless you swallow it in a large amount.) Mouthwash, I'm going to buy the gingivitis one.

I didn't plan for this entry to be that long.

I finally got around to doing another fanmix! I was asking myself if I should do another Chlark mix or just a Chloe mix, but I realized that it would be such a waste if I didn't do at least one on one of the most interesting (at least, in my opinion) triangles of Smallville. Clark who's trying to save Chloe who's trying to save Davis. Who doesn't love a good angsty triangle once in awhile? I know, I know. On Smallville, that's like a staple, but hey, it gave me some of the best Chlark moments of the season! :D

I didn't want this mix to be too long, so I purposely tried to find songs that could either be applied to the Chlark relationship or the Chlavis relationship. It's up to you to interpret whether which song applies more to which relationship. So, enjoy and please leave a comment if you're taking any songs!

So, as I was going through the flist to do some snipping, I decided not to cut anyone. Why? Because I happened to recognize ALL of the names, and I've had a pretty good history with all. :D Ha, nevermind.

See, this is why I don't do f-cuts. It just doesn't work out for me.

I do, however, still have about 20-30 trolls on my 'friends of' list. I wish LiveJournal would come out with an option for you to delete some people off of that list, too.

~*~

Examinations are done. I AM DONE. I am tired. I had some Indian food right afterwards. Mmm. Chicken curry is so comforting. Oh, and naan. Love naan.

And finally, I can keep to my word about updating music, fanmixes, and whatnot. OH, AND RP-ING. :D My partner hasn't had a tag in weeks!

Well, it's not really one. LOL. I'm one of those people that hate/am too lazy to do multiple f-cuts per year just to determine who my friends really are/who likes me. :/

This is just to reduce my reading page.

I haven't done one in awhile, if ever, but I'm going to be deleting people I no longer talk to, people who don't bother talking to me anymore, or people whose usernames I don't recognize (which will be the case ONLY if we don't know each other very well and you haven't updated in ages.)

If you think you fall under those three categories and would like to remain friended, please let me know. Though, if you're going to do that, you're probably NOT one of those, lol. :D ♥

This is because I have about 110 friends (I already have 20 or 30 people that have remained unfriended--those damn trolls), and when I scroll through my flist, I find myself saying, "Wait a minute, who is THIS?" or "How come this person never bothers to talk to me anymore?" And I'd really like to just read the entries belonging to people who are REALLY friends.

Anyway, obviously this is no big deal. I always just end up deleting old/inactive journals, and then keeping everyone.

EDIT: I haven't done one. I will be doing one tomorrow.

Just a fun meme that I wanna do and am curious about the answers from the lovely flist. :)

Name FIVE female characters that you love (across all fandoms):

1) Tifa Lockheart (from Final Fantasy VII, Kingdom Hearts, Advent Children, etc.)
2) Rukia Kuchiki (from Bleach)
3) Chloe Sullivan (from Smallville)
4) Sakura Haruno (From Naruto)
5) Rei Ayanami (from Neon Genesis Evangelion)

Name FIVE male characters that you love (across all fandoms):
LOL. So much harder to pick guys. I have such a low standard for them: just look cute.

1) Haku (from Spirited Away) * not really a fandom, but I LOVE him. I was tempted to put Howl, but I like Haku more.
2) Sasuke (Full Metal Panic)
3) Mamoru (Sailor Moon) * LOL XD OH, COME ON.
4) Tamaki (Ouran Host Club)
5) Naruto

Can you see any patterns in the characters that I like? ;D

An "Ulzzang" is: "best face" in Korean and the word is used both online and in real life. Basically, an ulzzang is someone who has a very attractive face, but most people use the term to describe people who have become popular for their looks. AKA "mini celebs".

Actually, there are Chinese, Japanese, and Vietnamese (possibly more) ulzzangs, too.

To my knowledge, I guess it's like someone who gets popular by myspacing a lot. :/ Except, I heard that one ulzzang was SOOO popular, she was discovered and became a full fledged Korean actress, and even landed roles in popular Korean dramas!

Here she is:

More Ulzzangs under the cut. )

So... In order to be an ulzzang, you have to:

1) Wear lots of make-up
2) Buy the round contact lenses, or whatever they're called, so they can dilate your pupils.
3) Pout as much as possible
4) Look surprised 100% of the time
5) Don't forget the sky-high, fake eyelashes

And remember to use Blythe dolls as inspiration!
